About My Blog

This is a place of Grace

For years, I have served as a useful source of help and advice, as any mother would to our two sons as they navigate the neurotypical world.  Finally, I decided to embrace that role outside of my "mom duties" and be intentional about it.  For the past year, I stepped away from our immediate needs and immersed myself in the Neurodiversity community, to learn what the community needs.

Now, with a broader perspective,  I started Neurodiversity Coalition Network with a mission to be of service to the neurodiversity community and their caregivers.

My commitment to my readers

To foster a space where respectful, open, and honest conversations happen, free of judgment

Vision and Mission

Create Neurodiversity Inclusive Spaces

To create spaces that remove societal barriers to make sure neurodivergent young adults have what they need to thrive and prevent disability discrimination at school and work.

Development

To develop programs and tools that leverage individual strengths to allow and empower the neurodivergent community to occupy space not created with them in mind.

Transition Made Easy

To partner with post-secondary education, vocational services, and employers to create environments where neurodivergent young adults can thrive as they transition out of high school.

Independence

Provide meaningful services for young adults with Autism to develop independence and achieve their individual goals.
